Bioscientia is part of Sonic Healthcare Germany and runs a network of medical laboratories throughout Europe. In January, Sonic Healthcare UK welcomed two colleagues, Bioscientia’s CEO, Dr Oliver Harzer, and Charlotte Scheurich, Head of HR and Legal, who came to find out more about how we were using Sonic Learn, and whether it could be used for training their staff.
The visitors were given a tour of the Halo Building where they were met by Sonic UK Chief Executive, David Byrne, and Director of Business Development and Service, Annette Wilkinson. During the laboratory tour, they also met our Director of Genetics and Molecular Pathology, Dr Lisa Levett.
Head of Learning and Development, Wendy Leversuch, gave a demonstration of how we are using Sonic Learn. It clearly impressed the visitors who fed back that they thought the system was highly suitable for their needs. They have also suggested that Wendy visits them in Germany to help set it up there.
Positive impressions

We were positively surprised to see so many young and enthusiastic lab technicians and staff, but also a lot of very experienced colleagues, who obviously enjoyed the good atmosphere and modern workspace. We can imagine that many of them enjoy spending their breaks on the terrace with its amazing view.
We also liked the large photos of your employees with positive comments reflecting on our values. We definitely would like to implement this idea at Bioscientia.
